Microdermabrasion

Smooth and improve the appearance of your skin. Microdermabrasion, also known as microderm, is one of the easiest, fastest, and most effective rejuvenating treatments you can find. Results are often instant and quite dramatic and there is no down-time for the skin to recover. Microdermabrasion recovery and results are among the most favorable of all the non-invasive facial treatments available today.

As we age, we produce less and less collagen, resulting in our skin becoming dull, looser and more uneven. In addition to deeply exfoliating the skin, microdermabrasion brightens your skin and leaves you with a long-lasting, younger-looking, refreshed complexion. Our microdermabrasion treatment is a non-chemical, non-invasive procedure that uses a diamond wand to abrade and remove the outermost layer of dry, dead skin cells, revealing the younger, healthier-looking, skin underneath.

Microderm skin rejuvenation is used to treat discoloration and dull uneven skin visible on the face, hands, décolleté, neck, and back. One microderm treatment gives dramatic results… but, for optimum results, it is generally recommended get a series of treatments. As always we start with a detailed analysis of your skin type, your particular skincare needs, and your lifestyle, and are happy to recommend a microderm treatment plan to match. This treatment gives results you can’t achieve with a home kit.

Microdermabrasion also makes it easier for high-tech skin care products and treatments to penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin. Often combined with other procedures, microdermabrasion may be recommended prior to some laser treatments or chemical peels, or even as part of a treatment plan involving injectables.

There is usually little or even no discomfort with the procedure. The treated areas may appear pink afterwards, but that will usually fade quickly. Microdermabrasion takes off the outermost layer of the skin, which is also part of your protection against the sun. You should be prepared to use sunscreen, or even better, try to stay out of the sun for a few days after your treatment.
